Best way to get word out? That should speak for itself if you guys are good enough. Just play a shitload of shows, battle of the bands, talent shows, open mic stands, guitar/bass/drum competitions. By the time you have your ep or whatever, you'll look good to a record label if you have enough fans. Good luck dude!
