We really need one. Like the youtube comments. There is a thumbsup and thumbsdown.

I agree.
There is always a thumbs up with a thumbs down, although it will probably get exploited and end up as lots of :mad::mad::mad::mad: as every other negative thing does around here.
The following users say "It is so bad to hear it!":

I would like to see this.

Agree. Maybe it would clean up some of the shitty posts, with out the need of being babysat by the mods.

Everyone is going to immediately "thumbs down" the person who did it to them, no exceptions. As isoterrapine said we have &T as proof...

This is a super dumb idea. Rep on forums always fails. People get butthurt or just like to fuck with it and then shit ensues.

This is basically just rep without the green (or red) squares. Rep didn't really get me off, but I didn't hate it, either.
Semi-related: Anyone remember on totse when Spectral used to sign other peoples' username when he neg-repped someone. That was funny as hell... especially if you signed off as a mod and directed it at a troublesome member.. or even better... signed off as a mod and left it on another mod's profile. Good, clean fun, for sure. I actually got a literal flood of infractions from mods once the admins revealed the actually repper's name retroactively. I paid for my crimes! :(

Stupid idea. We're not going to have a rep system. It never works out well, but here, it would probably be an absolute disaster.

It want meant to be rep. Each post should have a  or . The quality of the post is what gets rated, not the user's rep.

well thats just completely pointless
How about a Fuck You button. I am gonna need that for this thread.
A single "positive" button is already more than some people can handle. As Snoopy said, the rep system just resulted in ludicrous amounts of butthurt and complaints and problems from users who felt it was being abused in one way or another.
I honestly don't see us adding any more buttons than we've got, and rep (and anything like it) is a definite no.

It's not up to me to qualify their worth... as long as it's on topic, and not too ridiculous, the thread conversation will determine its actual worth. Just thought I'd clarify that for those who wondered.
Thanks, Fish! << We have our answer.
