During the winter, I get dry skin like a bitch, particularly on my face and hands. Moisturizer takes care of my face, but not my hands since the skin is stretched and bent so much. I have a bunch of splits across the knuckles on my right hand, some of them pretty good sized. Anything I can do besides moisturize? Any foods I can eat or anything to help? I appreciate any advice.

I used to have this problem on my hands too - splitting skin on my knuckles. Fucking painful too.
I let them heal by putting bandages on to limit movement and stop more splitting, and now I slather my hands in moisturiser whenever possible. Seems to work. I was also told to eat more oily fish and stuff with vitamin C in it, which I now do. Smoked mackeral salad is delicious.
How often do you shower? Serious question. If you live in an area that's cold and dry, and if your body naturally produces little oil, you might not want to shower every day.

^I live in New England so it gets pretty damn cold during the winter. I can't imagine not showering every day during school, I would feel gross as fuck.

Use lots of lotion and wear gloves whenever possible.
