ITT we discuss how mangos can possibly be so delicious. They are no doubt the kings and queens of all the fruits and all other fruits are failed attempts at being mangos.

mangos are nice. theyre a lot of people's favourite fruits. i think the reason behind their popularity is because theyve got an incredibly strong, fruity smell and is relatively low acid. that property actually makes them pretty good with milky foods, like oatmeal

though i like grapes a bit more

I have a mango in the fridge I bought cheap from the market. Damaged fruit FTW. They're awesome fruits.

Have you tried that Rubicon mango juice in cans from corner shops? That's almost as good as a real one.

There's several mango trees on my property, and they're all blooming and laden with baby fruits. Can't wait 'till picking time. I'm quite the picky bastard when it comes to mangos. Well, not really, I just really hate ripe mangos. The stage where the skin has turned all yellow and red. Ugh. Too mushy.

I like them in two ways. One, where they're still green on the inside. Oooh, that's good. Sprinkle some salt and nom nom...

The other way I like them is where they're borderline ripe. That is, the outside is yellowish-green, and the inside is a light, creamy, yellowish color. This kind I just eat without salt. Salt spoils the flavor at this point.

On a related note, do any of you eat the mango skins? I don't, but both my family and some friends do. Only when they're fully ripe, however.

I freeze ripe mangos, and use them instead of ice cubes in smoothies.

Mangos are damn tasty. Does anyone else eat them with the skins on though? I do and I find I quite like the skins texture.

Yes! Mangos are fucking delicious! The downside is that you can get messy, but I guess that is the fun part of eating them.
