Technically, Uwe Boll is one of the greatest directors of our time. Gamers just fail to realize that most video games have shitty stories. It's not his fault that most video games fail, now is it? Please save yourselves the embarrassment and don't answer that question.

Things get lost in translation when you change one format to another. Video games do not transition well to movies, but even so, Uwe Boll fails miserably at trying to make video games into movies. There are several video game based movies that were NOT directed by Uwe Boll that actually got better than mediocre reviews. Of course, none of these movies were ever amazing, but definitely not as shitty as Uwe Boll movies. The only exception seems to be Postal, because the game is shit anyway and completely intended to be stupid. I haven't seen it yet though, so I can't judge.

Far Cry doesn't exactly have the best storyline anyway though... I have no idea why anyone would even consider making it into a movie...

The whole thing? Like the stuff from the actual books? Or just from the first video game onward? Because that's like opening a book and reading from the middle. The books, however, are some of the best modern writing I've read.

I fucking hate WoW but it has a damn good story behind the game and some cool concepts that would make a fairly good movie if it were in live action and just a shit ton of LoTR style battle scenes.
