It wouldn't be that hard to do. I'm sure myself and a few other posters would be willing to generate some graphics and whatnot. It's about time we spruced this place up. Before you play that 'I like the retro-feel' card, this isn't retro. It just sucks.
Add in lots of collapsible javascript menus (again not hard to do) a few gradients and reflections here and there.
First thing is fixing that fucking logo.

If you want a separate theme, just make one. Setting up a test vBul server isn't that hard.

Fuck no. I go to this forum to not deal with trendy faggots.

We've got a server/vb install just for this. That's how Enigma made the Sunshine theme.
Regardless, AJAX is TERRIBLE for SEO - most crawlers completely ignore javascript and content created by javascript.

Although I agree with zok's methods, I think sooner or later the site is going to have to be more integrated. I think he should do statistics and drop the least frequently used theme every 6 months until he's down to his, nostalgia, and mobile, or make the front page have selectable themes also.
...or make the front page have selectable themes also.
Already in the works :)

Here is what it boils down to, 75% of people are 100% for change, when change happens 100% are against the change that just happened with 75% wanting things back to the way things were. Sound confusing? Makes little sense? Exactly...welcome to Zoklet where you are never right in anything you do...period.

I think it's more that people have a vision in their mind of what things will be like, but the way it is implemented is completely different.
Look at how we wanted a new logo and we got the star banner that a lot of people hated. We got rid of the star and got the number plate banner. For now it's OK, but I don't see it will lasting in the long run. At the moment everyone is just too scared to see what will come next if we ask for another change :p
