Well from what I heard from a friend that used to be a member and a mod there. There was some kind of big blowup among some of the members and that led to them either leaving or getting the boot, then later
there weren't so many posting there and the ones that were posting, were mostly posted crap.

That coupled with that fact that guy who ran the place. I believe his name was Enigma, and he was supposedly having some trouble balancing the site and going to college at the same time. So finally Enigma decided to close the site, but kept the sites name registered
in case he wanted to bring it back at some later date.

I believe Grayfox was member there once upon a time as well.

Anyone remember a site called deathskitchen? It was kind of like totse (only smaller) with all kinds of files and stuff you could download. I was member of that site a for a short while and the same thing happened to it, with less and less posters and whoever was running it was too busy going to college to pay attention to the site until it finally faded away.

totse2 was a fairly decent idea, but i think with the endorsement of jeff at the end of totse, zoklet was where all the people went to. at the community is all about the people

Takes many, many hours, weeks and months of trial and error. Well i came up with an idea about 3 hours ago and iv'e finally finished it. It's called Refrigerator files ( Lol, i know it's a gay name but it was 3 in the morning and the only name i could think of) anyways, it's the same concept as the text file system totse1 and totse2 has but it works like this, Anyone who wants to post a text file in the RF(Refrigerator files) section can.it works just like a forum. it is then read by a moderator and the moderators edit out anything that doesn't belong such as any false info or really bad grammar and once it's done the file(thread) is locked so no unnececary posts cant be made by any spammers or trolls. unlike the totse and totse2 files since it is part of the forum we can place polls over the files and poll people on whether or not the information was useful so we can root out any unuseful information. i could talk allot more about but i have to get some sleep now seeing as i stayed up all night working on this. sorry if i couldn't explain it as good as i should have. come check it out decide for yourself

I used to mod the games forum at Paradox when it first started. It started off strong which was surprising but like someone said it got too trendy and the mods got too full of themselves. There was a serious superiority complex that came with posting there, everyone looked down on totse so I left, it was too slow anyway. It didn't take long after that before the site collapsed due to Mr. X's (Enigma's) massive ego.

I registered on Totse2 when totse closed and I don't I've even made a post, that place just doesn't have any of the users that appeal to me.

I knew of zoklet a while back but I just never got around to joining at that time. At least, not that i can remember that it is.
