British bookshops herd black writers together on the same shelf at the back of the store, so that that blacks may find their peoples' work with ease. It's a system that works well for white people too, just for a different reason.

Ok. Basically this takes place in the far future. The whole premise is a conflict that breaks out between the more developed core worlds which are more social and neurotypical in their culture, and the further-out fringe or rim worlds. The core worlds, being social as fuck are able to manipulate the rim worlds economically and militarily, as well as being able to outpace the rim worlds in some economics - related things (not exactly production everywhere; specialized things given it's still easier to build things locally from resources. There is still soem flooding from foreign goods, which is able ot happen from the better FTL systems in this galaxy.

The core worlds and fringe worlds are not monolithic, some fringe worlds are neurotypical and have a stronger affinity with the core, and they were treated better due to their normalfaggotry, and have issues with the radical fringe factions. Some of the core worlds (say, Yahoogle) aren't heavily neurotypical and do not have as much an influence in the outer rim manipulating people, and they are angered at the neurotypical core worlds, and see this shit as unrelated to them.

Eventually a bunch of resistance groups rise up to oppose the oppression economically and otherwise (the neurotypical core does a lot of manipulative shit, like assassinating fringer politicans to keep their power in), and eventually these all merge to form the resisty. they grow and commence guerilla war in the rim worlds, against the neurotypicals and the former U-RIB (UN-like org) tries to stay neutral, while the core forms their own military. Eventually the core worlds were able to hi-jack the U-RIB formally for their own benefit and threaten the fringe legislators in the U-RIB government. the fringers get into fighting and brawling in the legislature building, and a fringer shoots a mainstream legislator. the fringe legislators use this to threaten the mainstream legislators to allow a 'clean' seccession and leave. the mainstream is formally left in control of U-RIB and that results in the secession of the major fringe powers, who were aiding the guerillas. the U-RIB units from the fringe defect, but most stay loyal to the government. The fringe U-RIB navies that defected hold off the mainstreamers and find out about the whole masacres from the mainstream, and that galvanizes them to fight and they take the brunt of a reconquista operation from the mainstreamers who did not mobilize, but struck quickly. They were repelled and that's where the begining starts.
