Not sure if this is the right forum, mods feel free to move it ;) .

I've got two blood stains in my carpet that i need to remove, or at least make less visable. What is the best thing to use? Will peroxide work without removing the colour from the carpet?

They're freash as of about an hour ago and both are around 2" in diameter if that makes a difference.

test hydrogen peroxide on a small bit of carpet. ive used it before, but on white clothes. and dont apply heat to it, or else it would be permanent.

you could use one of those enzyme based cleaners

As mantikore said, do not apply heat, not even hot water, a common mistake. What colour is the carpet? Blood is a whore with hiv to get out.

First and foremost, if the blood stains are like 3" or less you did a very poor job of completeing your "assignment". and thy will most likely give you some very close and personal looks at what a real crime scene looks like.

Please post pics, or some other asshole will post "pics or it did't happen'

I have no idea what forum this will eventually wind up in

Mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda together and put that on there.
That will get out pretty much any stain and unless you use way too much or let it soak in for a damn long time it won't do any damage to the carpet.
Trust me, I used to work for arm and hammer, I know these things.

Sorry lads, no "assignment" this time, and if there was it wouldn't be "home work" :bluerazz: .

I mixed some enzyme laundry detergent in some cold water and it's done a decent job, now they're about half to a third the size (where the blood had longer to soak?) and a light green-ish brown color. I'm gonna give it another go later to see if i can get any more out.
