Starcraft on Vista

Is there a program I need to download to play starcraft on Vista? I get to mission nine of the terran campaign and the game fritzes out when I win, so I'm wondering if it's the OS or a bad install.

Possibly a bad install, but have you tried playing around with the compatibility settings? Changing the compatibility to WinXP usually fixes most problems I have with running older games on Vista.

xp games will work on vista and windows 7.

It could also be that maybe the OP torrented the game and the download was corrupted? A common problem when you pirate games. Most of the time they work great, but sometimes there's things missing.

I once downloaded a copy of Starcraft that had no background music or voices. Maybe they were removed intentionally to make for a smaller file size, but meh.

Not pirated. Must just be a bad install. I'll go ahead and fix that sometime during the week. I usually only play it when I'm doing my laundry, so it's not a huge deal or anything.
