aha, he banned me too, off ALL of SLASHNET. For literally nothing too, I sort of hold a grudge; less so at him personally, more at the fact that somebody would see fit to entrust such a childish person with some kind of 'power'...I literally got banned 'cause I didn't want to play a game with him.

I tried logging in recently and I was unbanned, but haven't entered since.

Well depending on if the op used wild cards for the ban they may have unintentionally banned alot of people. Because you could essentially ban a whole region if the wild cards are in the right place.
Im no expert, I have just read a few irc operator FAQS.

If you're banned from the channel it might not be on purpose.

IRC cloaks your IP address so that "adsl-192-168-41.9.brnt.cable.ntl.com" will appear as "cloak-1842D45C.brnt.cable.ntl.com" to protect the identity of the user. A consequence of this is that when people apply bans they must apply it to a range, like "*.brnt.cable.ntl.com"

So it's entirely possible that someone else in your area who has the same ISP as you got banned and you were banned because of that.

If that's the case, I can write an ban-exception for you (or any op can) to specifically allow your IP through but block the rest of them in that range.

If you're banned from the SERVER, that is a different issue altogether. If it was for something you did in #totse, I might be able to help out - but if it was for something you did to slashnet, another channel, or an IRCOp, there's not much I can do. I can ask them nicely if they'll unban you, but I'm still outranked by the other IRCOps on slashnet.
