Lets merge Inhuman Condition and religion and spirituality!

Reasons:

1.The general traffic of the these two are usually around 1-4.

2.They both cover roughly the same subjects of reality, spiritual growth, and metaphysics.

3.Religion and philosophical views tend to go hand in hand.

4. Youll notice one covers "philosophers" and the other covers "philosophy"

5. The users who frequent one seem to also frequent the other

Anyone seems to think this we good terms for consolidation:confused:?

Or better yet we could just merge the separate humanity forums into IC.

absolutely not.

I'd consider posting in the inhuman condition, R+S is just fluffy bullshit though. Philosophy is completely abstract from spirituality, and the tools for discussing each are wildly different (logic, rationality, reason // bullshit). Absolutely do not do this.

This is right on so many levels. There is no spirituality in philosophy, as Ryan already mentioned - vastly different tools are employed by those two areas, one uses logic, reason and discussion whilst the other uses uhm... feelings (I'd say a lot more, but I wanna maintain some neutrality). IC is what R&S was a long, long time ago, before it got invaded by people claiming to see the future or that criticizing another post is trolling/spamming.

Please do not do this. There is obviously some overlap between theology and philosophy, but the way both of these subjects are handled in the respective forums is completely different. They wouldn't mesh at all. It would probably ruin Inhuman Condition and make it a blog-like forum just like R&S has become.

Well then would an alternitive be to specify this. They both have essentially the same threads and (im not sure but) followers.

I suppose RandS has gone a bit downhill.

I'm strongly opposed, and mostly for the reasons already mentioned. While there are a few topics that might fit in each (careful theological philosophy, maybe), the overall content of each forum is quite different, as are the people who frequent it.

There is not need for an alternative. I think we are fine as we are.
