you know those kind that plug into your cigarette lighter. I was extensively using this thing and my battery died, but idk I might of had an old battery. Do these drain car batteries?

Nope. They run on happy thoughts and good intentions.

CD player car kits? WTF is that?
Any small applicance that is using a cigarette lighter socket to power it is not going to be able to drain the battery quick enough to kill it between drives. Car batteries have massive amounts of electricity storage, and lighter sockets aren't designed to source much power.

You'd be surprised, it doesn't take much of an amp load to drain a battery overnight, especially if it's a battery that's been in use for a few years. Remember that the only real function of the battery is to store enough charge to crank the motor over and get the alternator going.
Cigarette lighters don't have a switch in the circuit, so if you leave something plugged in that consumes any kind of voltage at all times, you can discharge the battery.
OP: Leave it plugged in, remove the positive battery cable, and connect an ammeter inline with it. Look at the amp reading, then unplug your radio. That should tell you if the radio is consuming much power while the car is off.
