So I think this is the right forum for this, if it's not move it. I need to buy a pair of work boots. These boots aren't for hiking, which is what all the topics that came up in search are about, they are for work. Specifically lawn/landscaping work, moving, weed-wacking, edging, etc. I want something that will hold up well and be comfortable. What brand(s) make the best work boots?

I bought a pair of Magnum Stealth IIs on sale from LA Police Gear and they are hands down the best pair of boots I have ever owned.

They are extremely lightweight and comfortable and I have beat the hell out of them for the past 3 years and they are still going strong.

I have used them for specifically for what you want them for as well, so I',m speaking from experience.

IDK if they make the Stealth II anymore, but overall Magnum is a great brand.

Caterpillar makes some excellent boots. My last pair lasted 5 years of daily wear, and I have been just as happy with my current pair.

All real leather, quadruple stitching on the seams for durability, and they make a line of composite toed boots if weight is an issue. (not that they are overly heavy to begin with)

I've got this pair: http://www.catfootwear.com/CA/en-CA/Product.mvc.aspx/M/17203M/0/Mens/Foundation-6-inch-CSA-(High-Volume-Comp-Toe)?featureId=1118

Magnum are good. Used to wear Magnum until I found LeBock (http://www.lebock.dk/products/productlist.aspx?MenuItemID=202).
