It's a smoke mix found at pyrosummit.com which has recently shut down for some reason. It consists of KNO3 + Sugar + Paraffin. It produces, from what I've seen on YouTube, amazing results. Now what I want is the ratios and the method whether it's melted paraffin, whether to cook it all, how to pack it etc. Someone here might have had access to pyrosummit and seen it.

To my knowledge paraffin smoke was made popular by frogfot. (now defunct www.frogfot.com)
Look up the page on http://web.archive.org/web/20080610140257/http://www.frogfot.com/pyro.html#smok
You grind up wax on a cheese grater, mix with the kno3/su, put it in a tin can with holes drilled around the sides, then put a lid on the can and fasten it to the can with wire. If you melt the paraffin it does not work.

You don't even need paraffin.
Just use a little less sugar than you do kno3.
Don't burn it while heating it, if it turns orange, it can be bad.
But yeah, pretty simple, just mix pretty much however you want using less sugar than kno3.

I tried the no paraffin way and believe me the paraffin way is FAR better, I've seen the YouTube videos those things just keep going and more importantly it's REALLY REALLY THICK unlike the normal ones.

Chainhit you said if you melt the paraffin it won't work, how fine should the piece of paraffin be? Should they be powdery and do I mix the mixture as a powder without cooking?

I always use a cheese grater, the kno3/su gets so hot it will vaporize it regardless. I don't know if you would get higher performance if you cooked the kno3/su first and crumbled it up.
You should probobly compare two same weight wax devices, one with first molten then powdered kno3/su and one with just mixed kno3/su. I would do it myself but I aint got no money for kno3 :(

Yeh but why can't you put the POWDER KNO3 and SUGAR with the MELTED wax and mold it how you want, that way you get even distribution and the wax is still wax.

It is difficult to ignite something drowned in wax. I believe the wax acts as a moderator for the reaction (absorbing heat and melting) and a self sustained burn is not possible unless it is a coarse mix so flame can easily propagate. Ive mixed black powder with wax and that shit would never burn until the wax evaporated (obviously depends on how much wax is present, but in this case your mixture is 1/3rd wax, so it is significant.
You dont really need even distribution, the smoke is just tiny wax particle aerosol I believe. Id imagine even if all your wax was on the bottom it would still work because of how hot kno3/su gets. I think if you threw a chunk of wax into a red hot furnace it would also make a shit load of smoke. I bet mixing wax with any reasonably slow burning pyrotechnic mixture that will not frag the container will work, but using kno3/su as a heat source has the added benefit of making its own smoke.
Just try both methods if you can, you can use a tiny little can from tomato paste with a small jam jar lid for testing (i think tomato paste comes in 2 or 3oz cans). You can refill the can after each shot.

PyroSummit was closed because activity was dwindling, something which I unfortunately didn't do too much to help. James went into the service, and thus, couldn't pay for the site. Gary (a.k.a. Mastermind/DisasterMaster) was the original inventor of the legendary mix, which is known to have been ripped off in several places, without proper credit being given. It looks like PyroSummit's done for good, so give me a minute to scour the archives of teh interwebz for a copy of the original mix.
Okay, I found the original post, so I'll just paste it here.

Legendary Smokebomb v1.5
Pyrosummit>Guides>Mastermind>Legendary Smokebomb
This smokebomb is my original design. After scouring the internet I found out these have never been posted ANYWHERE. I built one of these as a passing idea......... It. Worked. Well.
If made correctly it will produce little to no flame and TONS of smoke. My comparison of it would be to a 5 pound candied smokebomb I saw online but, as I said, with almost no flame.
It takes little safety precautions to make and can be made with the same ingredients as any other common smokebomb.
Now here's how........
----Directions-----
Needed:
Potassium Nitrate (Spectracide brand Stump Remover is best)
Sugar
Paraffin
Fuse
Scale
Pan
Bowl
Stove
Spoon
Foil
Tape (Electric works well)
Step 1.
Measure 60g Potassium Nitrate and 40g Sugar. Mix together and set aside.
Step 2.
Place pan on stove at HIGH heat. Place 40g wax into pan.
It will melt quickly so remove from heat when wax has clarified.
Step 3.
Away from heat SLOWLY add powdered mixture to wax. Mix well making sure the different chemicals are evenly distributed.
Step 4.
With foil make a small bowl. Drain excess wax off of mix into the original bowl. Repeat until mixture is a loose slurry. Put slurry into the foil bowl before hardning takes place.
Step 5.
As wax cools it will still be fairly malliable. When mostly hardened wrap in layer of foil and mold into a ball. Insert length of fuse (make sure fuse crosses the entire circumfrence of the ball).
Step 6.
Wrap in 8 - 10 more layers of foil keeping fuse accessible. Compact tighly.
Step 7.
Wrap entire ball in electric tape to hold foil in place.
Step 8.
Place smokebomb in fridge or freezer for 10-20 minutes to ensure hardend state.
Step 9.
Enjoy.
(If incorrectly made it runs the risk of superheating the wax. Always place away from flammable objects.)

Wait so what's Step 4, how do you "drain" the excess wax? Chainhit said it won't work with the wax melted in.

I don't know for sure if it wont work, as I said I never tried it, but I would imagine something with 1/3rd wax molten into it would be rather inflammable, I could be wrong.
