Besides a little overkill on well the overkill I found it very fun.

I played it for a few days last weekend while I was at a buddy's house. Maybe I'm not a good judge since I don't usually like sports games, but I really enjoyed this one. I think I may have liked it less if I wasn't playing with friends, but it was definitely fun at the time in any case.

I especially liked the bonus modes like Bonecrushers.

The last Blitz I've played probably the first one. How does it compare?

Its technically old blitz on roids. If you do a power hit you can tap a real fast for maximum injury and break ribs/collar bones. Also you can do dirty hits and late hits where once tackled you can beat them up on ground and take away their stamina

You have a power meter that you can use to slow down the game and do more badass moves like jumping over someone or dodging takles, even jumping off their backs, or really good passes
