Hooka tobacco's

Ok, so i Looooove a good hookah smoke. I am Canadian if that matters at all. Anyhoo, I was wondering what you guys would recommend, and if you know if it is common in, say, Alberta?

Apple is my current favorite, we get our maassell (tobacco molasses) from a shop in town and its absolutely delicious. I find that sweet fruits make for the best maassell, but as Cherry Coke is unique too =)

I want to give this stuff (http://www.hookahcompany.com/starbuzz_shisha_82_ctg.htm) a shot. So many flavors, and they all look so good. Unless of course it's marketing scheme. Starbuzz sounds eerily similar to Starburts. There's something about the sound of Starburst flavored tobacco that just makes me want to buy it, lol.

Starbuzz is awesome. A little expensive, but it's high quality and you can tell. Starbuzz Blue Mist is fucking amazing.

On another note, I find the Two Apple taste to much like black licorice, which i find appalling.

Apple is for sure a favourite. Coffee is pretty good too, but I've had some brands' coffee flavours that were terrible, so...

A lot of the fruitier ones, I've found to be pretty tasty.

As far as brands go, I can't even name one off the top of my head so I can't say I feel qualified to say much, if anything.

Licorice sisha is very good if you can find it. Everyone probably won't like it, but if you do like black licorice, this shit's amazing.

What's (if any) the difference between maassell (which I've never heard of) and shisha?

I've always thought it was just shisha, but I mostly use hookahs for smoking herb.

Shisha is the common (and incorrect) term for the tobacco. Technically speaking the Shisha is the hookah itself while the maassell is the tobacco smoked.

Best Brand: Romman. Try the flavour called Good Times (citrus and mint), it's amazing.

My next favorite brand is Al Fakher. It smokes well, tastes fantastic and lasts a decent amount of time. Grape and watermelon are two great flavours.

Some other decent brands are Nakhla, Taru, and Al Waha.

If possible, get a hold of natural coals, as it makes a HUGE difference. One coal will last over an hour, and the flavour isn't tainted by that chemical-like taste you get with quick lites. Romman lemonwood coals are insane.

Lastly, I recommend ordering Shisha online. Around here, a 50g pack is $20, but online a 250g jar is $12. The only risk is if they realize it's tobacco at customs, you'll pay a very large tobacco tax (2-3x the value of the tobacco itself) so it's a bit of a gamble. I've ordered 3 times and haven't been taxed yet, though.

Fuck, now I have to go smoke a bowl. Some lemon-grape sounds fantastic (a great combo to try).

Starbuzz is one of my favorites. It is really good quality and can last a good 1-2 hours depending on the coals used. Blue Mist is a very good flavor. So is Citurs Mist.

I've used hookah-shisha.com every time just because it's the site a friend recommended. I don't know if it's the site or just dumb luck but my orders haven't been caught at customs yet, so I'll keep using that site. It also has the best prices I've seen on every flavour.

I just bought some Nahkla Two Apple, It's delicious. It does have a black licorice-y taste, but I LOVE black licorice. I am also a huge fan of coconut tobacco's, as that was the first flavour I ever tried.

Al Fakher Grenadine, OUt of the 5 flavors of al fakher Ive tried, its the best one by far, not overpowering or sickly sweet at all. Just a smooth fruit taste

Maybe my friends aall just buy shitty brands of maassell but I've never smoked a shisha where I really enjoyed the taste, it was always some weird artificial sweetener kind of flavour that left me feeling ill.

IMO natural coals will give the biggest difference. They are pretty quick to light if you get a little bit lit and then use a hairdrier on it. I don't know what brand I use because I can't read arabic.

High Life and SOEX are my favourite brands of molasses.
