But that's a library of info and it will take time to ingest. Though SWIM is sure he can find out how to make an equivalent non c-4 explosives, SWIM wants info now. There is no info there about making mass amounts of c-4. SWIM remembers a post on zoklet about making a few ounces with a ridiculously large amount of materials to produce the results. Is there a more practical way to manufacture 50 lbs. of c-4 without literally buying a 18 wheeler's load of supplies? How about buying it. Any sneaky ideas?

Edit: Or can some give the proper non illegal/non suspicious chemicals to by, what type of chemistry set/lab equipment to buy and step by step instructions for cooking it up?

I would have made an excellent scientist or engineer however and it was a tough decision to choose business. That might be acheiveable with a large truck bomb in the right place, but is not reliable. Take a look at the aftermath of some cities in world war 2. Despite sustained aerial bombing, the shells of many buildings still remained.

Also, C4 is way out of your reach. The fact you didn't even mention a detonator means you probably don't know how it works. There's not much point making 50 pounds of HE with no way of initiating it.

Knowing you need them and making/aquiring them is a big difference. If you are making your own, you will be dealing with primaries that are much more sensitive to shock and friction then C4, and would not be that reliable.

Here is a practical method of making a home-made explosive right in your bathroom sink.

Yes in today’s fast pace world the educational experts are saying that getting a PhD is obsolete in most cases because by the time you spend the 8 +or- years to get it, what you know will be obsolete. The way to stay sharp and on top is to get a bachelors’ or a masters degree and get a job in the field so you'll learn the new stuff as it’s invented to stay employed/competitive. This is the new way. The old way does not work anymore in most cases because the textbooks are seldom updated. The people who learn the basics and rush out to apply it in real life via working or otherwise end up with careers or owning businesses in the field. The ones that go for the PhD end up being teachers because their knowledge is not practical enough for actually application in the real, fast-changing world. So you see I'm not the one that's stupid. What if SWIM goes to a college and buys/steals a copy of "Chemistry 101"? Would that teach him how to cook up just about any chemical just by looking at the formula form it's molecular structure?
