Okay, in response to Yggdrasil, the further away in time these world affairs become the slightly more surreal they become. It's just odd seeing these confused people on television.

Nobody is going to sit here and watch that fuck-ton of videos, man. Edit your OP and put up some conversation/discussion or I'm going to have to lock the thread.

hmm... a very pertinent point... sort of incorrect though. It's like with this war, as opposed to coverage of Veitnam, they're starting to use graphics etc. to explain what the fuck is going on.. but maybe for valid journalism reasons. It's like the footage of Iraq 2003 saw this, and how well it rated in the US, and then tried to capitalize on as many graphics etc. as possible. I could be wrong...

What I mean is its a bunch of bullshit and only serves one purpose. Fostering public support for as long as possible. They learnt their lessons from Vietnam.

A genius move by saddaam, if the US didnt challange him he would have owned half the worlds oil EASILY as Saudi Arabia was weak as shit.
Probably should have left Kuwait immediately after the inital rush

Not a genius move because there is no way in hell the US wouldn't have challenged him. Dumb ass move imo

Op mybad than, never realized that thanks Erich.
Whats wierd is that whole ambassador thing where they told him nothing would be done.
Probable the only really smart thing he did in the war was attack Israel in an effort to bring them into the war. The idea was that this would have the effect of making the Saudi's be in a coalition with Israel, and make other Arab/Islamic nations be less supportive of the coalition. But President Bush managed to convince Israel to accept American Partiot missles on their soil rather than activley retalitate themselfs.
Other than that his best shot would be to rush right into Saudi Arabia right after Kuwait. Saddam would still lose though, no body is willing to accept Iraqi dominance of that much of the world's oil supply.
