View Full Version : Cultivation: question about night time temps and outdoor plants.

swim got outdoor plants and there about 5 weeks into budding and its starting to get cold outside there starting to show a tiny bitt of purple and swim is getting scared the temp during the day is going to be between 62-78* and at night between 42-59* for the rest of the plants lifetime about 3-4 weeks swim guess's is that bad the plants look very nice swim tells me nice sized buds and if it helps there starting to show about 20% amber color hairs so there getting there right ?? thanks for the help

you'll be fine mate, i had some outdoor into october last year, a couple nights even into a light frost.
just make sure to get em pulled if you get a real freeze.
if they're in a decent sized pot, or in the ground no worries...if their in something little you might want to repot them now, just so theres enough insulation on the roots.

There in the ground.Thanks buddy for the info and changing the title i should have made the title clearer myself but i was in a hurry yesterday much appreciation tho i will post some pics when i harvest them

I have a bunch of plants which I am able to leave outside all the time now.tonight, however, the night temp is expected to drop to 56.
Of course, by about 7am it will be in the mid 70's and sunny, but is it okay to leave them
out at night when it's that cool or should I bring them indoors?

He's saying that they will be alright if your temperature is only getting down to 52. And that if your plant is hearty and planted into the ground most can stand a light frost, but it's when the hard freeze comes that you should harvest. Sorry if i'm mistaken but i'll make an educated guess, "light frost=30-32 degree's" "hard freeze= usually in the 20's".
