I wouldn't say so. Its very difficult to visualize a lot of what is going in the HST book.

Trainspotting is easily number one. The Basketball Diaries is number two(You can't fuck with the Dicaprio). Then the rest of the other films mentioned in any order.

Requiem for a Dream (yeah I know it's an extreme exaggeration, I still like the movie)
Half Baked
Scarface
Pineapple Express

I didn't really like Fear & Loathing. It had it's moments, like when they picked up the hitch hiker, and when they huffed ether and were robo walking into that building. But the whole movie was just one long bad trip.

Oh and honorable mention to Bad Boys II, because it's one of the only drug films out there that deals mainly with ecstasy, my DOC. LOL @ the scene where Martin Lawrence accidentally takes two rolls.

First time I saw Requiem I thought it was the shit. Then I watched it again, and was like, "this fucking blows.". I mean, it was kinda cool in like an artsy way, but it left me feeling like,"was the only thing I learned from this movie is to not do drugs". Fucking ridiculous. And what really confused me was why in the hell the main character (can't remember name) shot up in the see vein EVERY time. Like Jesus Christ, if you're fucking pushing dope and are shooting up everyday, you should know a fucking thing or two about proper shooting ettiquete.

But anyways, enough of my ranting. Just saw trainspotting yesterday and fucking LOVED it. It was funny, sad, but most of all I think it gave a good non-biased view of drug use. I'm also like halfway through Human Traffic and I think it's fucking awesome so far. But grandmas boy is fucking win, F&L is good. And then it's been a while since I've seen blow but I'll throw it on my list anyways.

I can really only think of 2, Scarface and Blow.
And while it might not be considered a proper drug movie, just because it's so fucking funny when stoned, Beavis & Butthead Do America.

Trainspotting and Scarface were awesome and Basketball Diaries I really liked. Fear and Loathing I thought was a bit stupid same with Requiem for a Dream.

Are you thinking of True Romance with Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette? That was a good movie. Tarentino sold the script to make Pulp Fiction.

I enjoyed Requiem For A Dream, in an odd way.
Pineapple express was ok.
I loved Dazed and Confused.... Good shit there
Also, could you count Pulp Fiction?
