If I was to pierce someone's belly button, exactly how should I go about it? what comes to mind is, stick clean needle though the right spot, pull it out and immediatly try to put the ring in. I never did anything like this before so I have a few questions. ShoudlI leave the needle there for a bit and then switch? shoudl I make sure that the needle is the same thickness as the ring? should I not do this?

If you have no fucking clue what you're doing, don't do it.

Moving to CooF.

Listen xxombie.

My only suggestion is to get an anatomy book, rig an autoclave from a pressure cooker, and make sure you know how to treat and prevent infections.

Holy shit no. You should really go to a professional.

If you insist on doing it yourself, get a piercing kit. They can be found on ebay for less than $10. This (http://cgi.ebay.com/STERILE-Belly-Button-Piercing-Kit-Gem-Cute-Needle-easy_W0QQitemZ320342945768QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_De faultDomain_0?hash=item320342945768&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50) is an almost retard proof one, but it doesn't come with a clamp. This (http://cgi.ebay.com/14g-Belly-Piercing-Kit-Clamp-Needle-Retainer-Curved_W0QQitemZ120362796468QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_ DefaultDomain_0?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116)one has a clamp, needle, a ring, and a retainer. It would be your better option.

You definitely don't want to pull the needle out. You should put it through where the piercing is going to be, leave it there while you line up the jewelry, then slowly pull it out while you're pushing the jewelry in. The ring should be going into one side of the hole while you're slowly pulling the needle out through the other side.

You can also find a million videos on youtube that will show you how to do it.

Jam the needle in there and leave it in for a bit. Pull it out then force the jewelry through. Don't be a bitch, the chance of you dying from a shitty piercing is pretty low.

God, okay. I'm actually going to go through the procedure with you. This is from someone who's done/received dozens of piercings.

1. Lay out all of your STERILIZED equipment. Things like 'germs' and such aren't so much my concern as things like 'aids'. You should have:

a hollow, hubless needle that's the same gage as your jewelry (14 is best)
rubbing alcohol and cotton balls to clean the skin
brand new jewelry, (a curved barbell will be easiest to push through). Prepare it so that the top ball on the barbell and the bottom one is off.
optional, but very helpful, a pair of forceps or clamps for holding the skin
a water based lubricant

2. Have the person lie down and get comfortable. Make sure they've had lots to drink and eat before hand so they don't pass out.

3. Clean the belly button inside and out with the rubbing alcohol.

4. Mark the spot on the skin where you're going to make the hole. Make sure it's centered.

5. If you're using a clamp, wrap the handle with an elastic band and position it so that the dot you've made is in the center of the opening. DO NOT LOCK THE CLAMP DOWN.

If you're not using a clamp just go to the next step.

6. Lube up the needle to help this step. Place the needle on the dot. Aim it so it'll come through the flap of skin in an appropriate spot.

7. Tell the person to take a deep breath and quickly pass the needle through the skin (taking care not to jab the inside of her belly button with the needle).

6. Now the needle should be half in and out of her skin. You now have to be very quick to get the jewelry in before swelling kicks in.

7. If the clamp you are using is slotted, leave it on, if not take it off now.

8. Butt the end of the jewelry up against the non pointy end of the needle. Using one motion, push the needle out with the jewelry. You're jewelry should now be in, and the needle out.

9. Fasten the other ball on the end of the jewelry. Careful, it'll hurt.

10. Give the fresh piercing one last wipe with some rubbing alcohol and you're done.

Seriously though, don't do it.
