With football there is a sense of competition and team pride. How can you be psyched about waiting in line for a console or a game when you still have to drive your happy ass back home to enjoy it? Anticipation for a video game is cool and all, but face paint? Holy FUCK.

meh, i was just proving a point that video games are just as competitive as "normal" sports.
Hell I would even say they are more competitive than football and likes, and we don't get paid for it. I've played sports in high school and just pick up games with friends and I've never gotten mad from losing. It was more of a "that sucks, good game, lets do it next weekend". On the flip side though everyone that plays video games gets pissed when they lose. I've broken countless of controllers and random shit when I keep dying on the final boss or some asshole keeps spawn camping me.

I broke my GBA when I couldn't kill the Nightmare boss in Metroid Fusion.
