skinks/lizards

Im lookig at having one for a pet. I will be using an ordinary fish tank with soil/reptile soil mix stuff . I will be looking at catching skinks as I have a lot of them and jus looking after them for a couple of week. then releasing them an catching a different one. This will just be untill I can really look after a lizard ill need any and every reccomendation for anything/everything. Any help will be appreciated.thanks.

Normal 5-striped skinks aren't easy pets. They are difficult to catch, and if you do it incorrectly their tail will fall off in self-defence. Feeding them live bugs will also be a bitch.

Although you can try; good thing you will eventually be releasing them.

ok thanks TheVizier its ok id make sure they were fully recoverd?healed before releasing them.

Dunno how much their tail takes to regenerate when it falls off, but it definetely does grow a new one back.
