my first lucid dream

Last night I dreamt I was at home, although I don't have a comprehensive memory of what had happened beforehand, and my mom presented me with my dog (who died in November 2007), alive and well. Now, since I've seen my dog in dreams before, (I mentioned these dreams in a thread before), I immediately remembered the light-switch test from Waking Life. As soon as I realized the lights didn't change, I flew out the front door and soared above my house. It was brief, but holy hell was it fun :cool:

Lucid dreaming doesn't work for me.

Every time I become aware that I'm not dreaming I wake up, and I've also tried all the other methods but failed.

My first lucid dream was kind of fucked, I realized I was dreaming then I was like back in my bed but I couldn't move and I started freaking out but eventually I broke free. Its pretty awesome It's only happened to be a handful of times and I just started flying around, fucking bitches, and I conjured up my philosophy teacher and tried to ask him all these questions that I have ever wanted to know the answer to. Also try walking into a mirror, your imagination will fill in some crazy blanks if you put yourself in such a impossible and unknown situation.

Often you realize you are dreaming then get so spooked/excited that you wake up. I good way to stop that from happening is go to sleep and after you hit REM sleep, wake up (set an alarm) stay awake for 20 minutes with only lucid dreaming on your mind. (theres a video u can watch) and go back to sleep. Its called Wake-to-sleep induction or something, I find that works better than forcing yourself to memorize reality tests.

You would know, or else you weren't lucid. Anyway, I have a lot of semi-lucid dreams. I know I'm dreaming, but it's more difficult to control the dream than it should be. Mostly the only problem I have is flying, in my most recent lucid dream I wasn't able to fly easily, I could fly straight up, but couldn't get much forward propulsion. Eventually I got the hang of it though, and I flew to a roof of a building, and fucked some bitches. :cool:

I find everytime I try and force myself to sleep I slip into a lucid like dream its like a unused part of my concious. I just concentrait on my breathing control every breath and relax.

I've had a lucid dream once, but didn't do anything about it. I wanted to see where my mind randomly took me.

I had alot of very vivid dreams when I was on nicotine patches quitting smoking. I would either have highly erotic or highly nightmarish dreams.

In one dream I looked at my arm where the patch was and pulled it away, When I did my skin just melted in the general shape of the patch and there was - in my mind - a bottomless hole in my arm.

if you are legitimately tired then you will dream, you know people who work and get exhausted are more likely to have r.e.m. if you realise you are lucid dreaming dont move a muscle, or youll wake up. control it with yer mind and imagine stuff. you are god in your own world when you dream

I have them almost constantly it seems like. Mine are either erotic or really fucked up. Not like scary but like plain weird like a David Lynch movie.
