so, after some discussion with a friend of mine, we decided to grow our own weed. We decided to go indoor in one of those things:

I'm thinking of 40x40x120 cm.
Well, there are still some problems, concerning lighting and strain. About lighting, I cannot choose from CFL Agro or MH+HPS. I saw the prices and they cost about the same(125€) for 250 W lighting, including everything you need. I know CFL heats less and MH+HPS give more yield, but how can I decide which one fits my needs better?
About the strain, I am still choosing between autoflower and regular. Autos are faster and more resistant, but I read on the web that they don't actually fit for beginners, since if you fuck up during the vegetative state, you'll have 10 grams of bud at the end.what do you think?
For odor control we are planning on using a carbon filter, which should work fine.

The only thing I would suggest is to go with HID lighting over CFL. Watt for watt, HID is far more efficient. I have a 400w HID lamp and a 400w cfl board side by side, and the difference in growth rates is excruciatingly noticable. Heat shouldn't be an issue with good ventilation.

Edit: That thing is pretty small, just over 6 cubic ft of air to pull out... what do you plan on using for ventilation? You need to look at your volume of air and the capacity of your vent fan to determine which light you need.

I started the other way around, I determined which light would meet my needs, then built around it.

^ essentially that. Most grow tents will have holes for ventilation, but those narrow tall ones are usually only good for a couple plants, or one big mother.

If you're not worried about keeping a separate space for a mother to clone off of, then your decisions easy, go autoflower.

(although for your first grow i wouldn't waste the money, bagseeds cheap and costs you nothing to learn on.) Unless you've got a free source for cuttings or seedlings of course.

i'd go a little bigger though, get something large enough to put a 4x4 flood table in it'll make your life easier.
