yea. Cyrus had a 9mm that looked like a beretta 92 but i was just watching an older episode on alluc and Ricky/Julian use what looks to be the same gun as early as season 1.

was just curious because im going to a shooting range within the next couple of weeks. i was looking into guns to rent there and i just thought that rickys gun was pretty cool... ive never fired a gun in my life so id want to use something fairly simple/low-recoil for my first time -- how would this one do for a first-timer like myself?

The recoil on a p92 isn't bad, it's a 9mm. Biggest thing I can tell you if you're shooting for the first time, don't flinch when you pull the trigger =)

I think it is some sort of reference to the nickel plated factor.

The black one is an M1911 of some kind, a .45 caliber weapon. The nickel plated gun is the beretta 92, or a clone.
OP, I seriously recomment against the beretta as a first gun. The trigger pull on it has way too much slack, in my opinion.

If you've never fired a gun before you shouldn't be thinking of anything but a .22, It what nearly everyone has lernt to shoot with. It's cheap, quiet and has basically zero recoil.

I used to know a guy with one of those, IIRC he sold it and bought a G33 (think it was a 33, sub-compact .357sig anyway).

And the black one definatly isn't a Glock, the slide is wrong and (what you can see of) the grip is wrong, looks like a 1911 to me.

Yeah, it looks like it has a 1911 slide-stop safety too.

Doesn't look boxy enough to be a Glock, in any case.

The gun in the second picture is a Star model BM.
