Tattoos are a mistake when you're young, is my thinking, as you pointed out.
Things that seem important when you're young fade away, but tattoos don't.

I think of all the people who wanted Totse tatoos not so long ago.
Shit, in 10 years, you aren't gonna find anyone else who knows what Totse was. You'll have to explain, oh it was this website that was really cool.
They'll say "you mean like My Space"? ...

I mean, fine if it's in some hidden spot, but tattoos you can't hide are more likely to be a mistake in the long haul.

Stick with piercings is my advice.
They're just as hard core, but not as permanently disfiguring if you grow out of them.

I wanted to get a tattoo to cover up a birthmark. But I didn't want people to think I had gotten it only as a concealer. So I winded up covering my birthmark with a tattoo of my birthmark.

This is a true story, especially the part about me having a birthmark that I'm not overly happy with.

I've seen someone who got a tattoo of a teapot. Seriously, a teapot. It was on fire.

I've heard about someone who wanted a tattoo of a banana, but I haven't seen it personally.

its my mum's royal dalton tea cup that my dad brough her as a part of a set for their 5th wedding anniversary? apparently it took him a billion years to save up for. Oh it also has my last name below it so i can never be a spy *sigh* :thumbsdown:

I think (i may be wrong) that this guy just took the "let your kids write there names, and get thaem tatted on you" idea to the extreme.

Which, as most of you who arent fathers, might be a little hard for you to understand, but when i look at that and think of something like that it seems like a reasonable idea, and definately has a lot of meaning to it.

I mean shit, you never know, maybe he had a kid who died in a car accident or of cancer or something, and that his kids drawing. Im just saying, you never know.

Still maybe not the coolest tat to people looking at it, but if thats the reason your getting tats in the first place then your doing it all wrong anyways.

If this is what i think it PROBABLY is, then that tat has more meaning to that guy than someone getting some awesome tat on his ribs cause it llooks amazing.

And it definately has more meaning than all these other tats posted on here.

I think the tattoo is cute but kind of too big and colorful to be taken seriously. Seems he could have found a balance between memorializing his kid's art and making a cool tat.
