I turned off my humidifier last night because it wasn't supposed to drop below freezing. When I woke up today my nose was dry and my hygrometer showed the humidity had dropped to 32%.

I just don't like anything below minimum 35%. It's just so much easier to breathe and my skin feels looser when my humi waters-up the air.

Proper humidity is very good.

I like North Texan dry, cold winter nights.

You dudes talking inside as well as outside? You're not thinking that I have a million dollar industrial strength machine to humidify my whole local area are you?

It can be way drier inside than outside when the outside temp drops near/below freezing and the central heating comes on. Cooler air holds less moisture and when that drier outside air is heated inside it expands and has more room for water.

If it doesn't get humidified it absorbs water from wherever it can: you for instance.

It was overcast and lightly spittin today here. I dress in long pants, t shirt and a hoodie. Walk outside, 98% humidity. Fuck me sideways.

Too much is no fun either. Right between 35 > 40 > 45% is perfect for inside, more outside is OK and so is less. I like the high humidity outside where it's not too hot. Around 5 > 20C. The humidity can get pretty high but because it's not hot the air can't hold as much water.
