A banned forum. This would be the only forum for members that get banned can post to ask for admin reviews of their case. As it is now I have been banned for nothing 3 times. Once by TCC, once by Scumbag, and most recently by 5.56. All were found to be wrong and reversed. The problem is once you are banned you have no way to contact the supermods or admins except popping into IRC and hoping someone is on.

This forum wouldn't need to be able to be posted in by members, but this way it wouldn't be up to moderators to dig through the infraction forum and have to rat out their fellow corrupt mods and cause internal drama. Its an out for mods that claim to have principles and its a place where those that have been victimised by inept moderators can ask for help.

This isn't perfect by any means, in fact even if Fish or Unwyred were willing to create an E-mail adress for this pupose expressly and be willing to check on it frequently it would serve the same purpose.

Any thoughts on this?

don't get b&?

or if that's too hard, you could just create an alt and Pm the mod or admin involved. That's always been an acceptable reason to multi-account.
(note that going and starting some shit in PEOO does not count as "handling the situation") at least not in a way that's likely to get you results you'll like.

hmmm...yeah, ok i just verified that a new account can send PM's. You should be a-ok to use that backchannel again.

Ah, good there is a reason. Is it good form to make these multi accounts before a ban or is it the rules to only do it after the ban?

I think people should be able to make them before a ban, that way they will be able to post a admin or whatever that much quicker and not have to go through the actions of creating another account.

It would speed up justice.

only if you assume most bans are unjustified.

At this point, seriously, you want to tell me anyone fucks up and gets banned by accident? you've kind of got to work for it.

Most bans are planned and choreographed by a select group of barracks lawyers troll pricks, as part of whatever political agenda is sexy this week, "who's been butthurt today"

Some mods don't like to ban, they say it gives them what they want.

I say Fuck 'em.

So...the longer it takes before they're back and derping up their particular pile of "who gives a fuck" the better, as far as i'm concerned.

a backchannel exists, and that's important, because shit happens, but let's not pretend 90% of the shit isn't just the general every day griefing that this board lives on.
