He really is a lot like Drake. And I don't know how Cudi gets respect from anybody, his entire career has been riding hype. First 10xDEEP with his tape, then being on one Kanye song, and now that his new album is mediocre and doesn't have a single like "Day N' Night", it's already disappearing from relevance.

Idk why you couldn't like him, he raps about high - school, teenage struggles, family problems, the people around him, making decisions all that shit.

Which i relate to a lot of the shit he says, even though i'm not as poor and not black, but what rapper has like 3 songs talking about how telemarketers called them 24/7, and his mom smoked crack, and his brother in jail, and his friends sell crack and he doesn't instead he just goes to school and does music? That's pretty much rapping suicide and he doesn't care


Also he is yet to sell out (wiz khalifa, lil wayne, jay - z, more) and he even raps about how he wants to prevent it and shit. He's a pretty intelligent dude with his lyrics man. Kid Cudi is alright, I really got in to some of his songs, but the Rock direction he is going in simply doesn't work. He needs to stay away from the genre every bit as much as Lil Wayne should have.

Also lol at calling J. Cole a Drake clone when he's been at it longer and they have completely different styles.
