Considering that thanks has been proven to be more of a "your trolling made me laugh" thing than a "your post was helpful" thing, I don't see why not. But since it's probably never gonna happen, I guess we'll just have to wait for the next major forum catastrophe where everyone is about to leave for them to implement it. Some conversations are "closed," meaning we aren't going to be taking suggestions about them. Ban requests, and threads about various "thanks" type buttons are two I can think of right now, but we'll add more as the list grows (or shrinks).
