I sell knives. Now I don't mind the rare occasions--like this weekend--when a guy took maybe five minutes tops to purchase three switchblades and two sets of knucks--total price $275.

But it is more fun to be able to spend time with a customer, going through my huge stock to find that one knife that the customer really loves.

It is also lots of fun to show a custoimer one of my more obscure knives--like the Eichhorns--and seeing his or her amazement.

All in all, I love my job.

I would love my job... if I had one.
I think I'll be an english tutor next quarter.

 job satisfaction! (it's just around the bend)

This. But fuck being a tutor, I have no patience with people. Then again, I could do a lot of work teaching people how to write.

I am supposed to teach, but I use my time to politically brainwash people.

I love my job.

Yesterday I got a dozen really cool ceramic-blade knives in the mail--day before, a dozen otfs. (Gun show this weekend.)

Getting to play with all these cool toys before I sell'em is a big part of the fun of the job.

What if you weapons are later used in a crime, could you live with yourself then?

As long as it doesnt have his dabs on them, whats the problem? The knife did not commit the crime, a person did.

Weak.

I'm sure people who are looking to commit knife crimes will find ways to get their hands on them even if OP doesn't sell to them...

If the OP were selling a nuclear bomb, he wouldn't be held in some way responsible for the killing if it were used?

I gave a girl an IV today 'cause I saw how fucking sloshed she was last night. I injected some stuff in to her line and she definitely isn't low right now.

Good luck finding a nuke laying around the house.

Of course.

I sometimes tell customers that my policy is, when I sell you a weapon, I don't care what you do with it, as long as you don;t do it to me.

But don't forget--this is fucking Alaska--we all carry guns.

That said, I do make an effort to be legal. For instance, I almost sold a gun to a guy when he said "Thsi is great--I'm a felon so I can't buy FFL." I replied "Sorry--you just ruined the deal," as I would have violated federal gun regs.
