Does anyone listen to this band?
I can't speak for their latest album (Watershed) because I've only heard Porcelain Heart from it and it was okay, but I really like Morningrise, Blackwater Park, and Ghost Reveries.
Although Blackwater Park has most of my favorite songs, my all-time two favorite songs come from Morningrise and Orchid, which is To Bid You Farewell and The Twilight is my Robe. The Drapery Falls is an extremely close third though.

Still Life is the first record I heard by them. Serenity Painted Death is a pretty awesome track.
Watershed wasn't as good as I had hoped but it was still a top contender for 2008.
I'm partial to their softer rock album, Damnation.

Opeth are awesome. I've listened to their discography, and I can't pick a favorite. Really digging Deliverance right now though.

Damnation was pretty awesome, I liked that album too.
For some reason I can't really listen to My Arms, Your Hearse. Not that it's bad, but a lot of times I judge songs by the first minute or so of it. And since Opeth songs tend to be incredibly long, that first minute of each song becomes more important because then I decide whether to listen to the rest of the song.

Yeah, but...Demon of the Fall.
Yeah after I posted that message I realized that that was the only song on that album that I listened to. I then proceeded to smack my forehead with my palm but I was too lazy to edit it.

Opeth is great. I haven't heard their newest album yet, but I'll get around to it eventually. My favorites are Still Life and Blackwater Park, though I enjoy just about all of their records.

I'm an Opeth fan here. My favorite songs are Windowpane and Death Whispered a lullabye.

they are ok, but when they only have clean vocals, they sound soft/gay to me. like that song windowpane.

Windowpane is a good song... and I think his clean vocals are good, it shows diversity and that Mikael's not one of those vocalists that can only growl and can't sing.
