I can't be the only one that really, really dislikes all the shitty smilies we've got, and continue to have added.

They make the forum look childish and cluttered (alongside avatars and signatures, but that's another issue).

They're often ugly and poorly-designed.

The majority are rarely used.

Most of them serve no purpose, and were implemented because they could be instead of because they could be.

I'm not someone that thinks Zoklet should strive to be exactly like Totse, but back there we had maybe 15 smilies and everybody got by just fine. We don't need all these retarded animations at all.

I think every smilie section except General should be deleted (minus maybe a couple). If you want to communicate something in the other smilies, we have IMG tags for a reason. Improving something isn't always analogous to adding something.
