Problem: 'Thanks' has become a way to 'like' a post or it represents someone thinking a post is funny. Good way to reduce the number of acronym-only [lol] posts but it's not achieving it's goal.
The mods wanted it for an 'archive material' label.
Solution: Why can there only be one vote-related button?
We could actually have an 'archive material' button.
This poll is for the idea of multiple buttons. If it's deemed a solid idea we can move forward with specific terms.
Hopefully it'd cut down on the number of bullshit posts and relegate flaming and insults to a statistic - something that would hopefully keep threads more on track and less self destructive.
And of course the buttons could be changed as necessary - this would be more of an organizational tool than a permanent change to the layout.
