i know this might sound fucky but metal detectors!!!!!
u see the crazy old guys at the beach with em, and the occasional asshole finds cash coins keys and shiny new valuable stuff.
this is actually a good way to get some spare cash.
just walk within close proximity to a towel it a purse with things laying out or around it. no one ever pays attention to the crazy guy looking for 'buried treasure'.
helps to talk to yourself while doing this....lol

I also fix what I can, and sell them on ebay and craigslist.
