How close are we to martial law in your opinion? Facts to back it up would be nice.

Thanks for the serious reply. It's good that some people are aware and seeking knowledge.

Keep it up zok

It's hard to say exactly. I mean most people on zok tend to freak out and say the World's coming to an end simply because they've never lived a life outside of the 90s, but if you read up on your history than it will tell you that this is certainly not the first time America was on the brink of insanity and it certainly wont be the last. The only thing I see is government preparation which is a strong indication that something bad is on its way but to what degree? I have no idea. Do yourself a favor and don't listen to these conspiracy theorist nut jobs because 9 times out of ten they'll blow it waaay out of proportion.

We're still alright and I feel we'll be able to handle the tough challenges ahead without too many problems. Granted a lot will lose their lives and most certainly our lives will be different but I sincerely doubt it will be anything like WWII Germany.

The difference is the energy levels we've achieved today and the population levels we have. What happens when 400 million Chinese people flee their country because of water scarcity mostly due to agriculture and animal husbandry to make enough food to feed those people in the first place?

Other countries won't be able to handle that.

We are running out of oil, running out of water, and running out of any semblence of sensible food production. Population still increases. Why? Because, like any animal at the top with no predators or checks on it increasing, we will increase further. Unless we reimplement the checks nature handled for us with severe population reduction methods.

Unless there are 4-5 billion less people on this planet (I'm actually more comfortable with only 100 million people, though it's quite unlikely), we will suffer worse catastrophes than we have ever imagined.

We've upset the planet, and now it aims (not consciously) to get rid of us. We're acting like a virus here. We eat, consume, excrete, extract and pave the fuck out of our host, eventually destroying it. It won't necessarily be quick, but it will be painful.

Martial law in the U.S.? Well, things have played out to suggest that possibility in the future, but that doesn't mean it will happen. Certainly not tomorrow or next Tuesday. If it does happen, it'll be slow, very subtle, maybe not even consciously deliberated.

Wait... Isn't that how it is happening? ;)

You're outlining the New Age religion of self-hatred.

I'm agnostic and not New Age.

I'm outlining reality. Read some science magazines, read the history or the planet, find out why certain things happened, walk outside for fuck's sake (my old home in the arctic changed greatly over my 13 years presence. Including the introduction of southern mosquitos, bees, wasps, and hornets, the total loss of fish (funny in a place with a name meaning "Place of many fishes" ;) ) the new flowers that arrived, the grass that arrived to begin dismantling the tundra, the loss of polar bears, the loss of prey animals, the loss of lingering ice, etc.

Not to mention I grew poppies outside there by accident after soaking them in water and lemon juice for tea. I threw them out, and flowers grew.

Change is happening, and we are not prepared for it. We're not even prepared to examine it properly.

Mass-extinctions have happened. In each one, loss of biodiversity led to global chaos, and animals/plants that once thrived will never be alive again, to witness or interact with. One is happening now. At a rate faster than the dinosaurian extinction event. Which, yes, mammmals survived, big whoop. Doesn't mean they need to survive this one as a whole. Since mammals dominate land, they'll feel the worst crush, along with birds.

When I say the planet aims to remove use, I don't mean conscious choice. I mean that it is a giant system that we are interacting with, and pushing too many buttons causes stress to the system, which has evolved along with life and functions without necessary thought as to its reactions, starts a chain of reactions ending in termination of the stressor/s (so far, anyway, - in each extinction event, this process is involved).

If we stress the system too much, it'll start devolving and will remove huge tracts of itself.

It's not self-hate, it's self-knowledge. It hurts to know that I bear this responsibility, as a human. But I move past it easily and strive for change. The logical course of action when you have found you have done something wrong.

THIS! The current nationwide DPS police state. Faggot ass pigs parked on the side of all state highways, like a facist 1st world dictatorship. You also need to understand they are conducting illegal traffic stops on a regular basis, and making up lies as to the probable cause.

I got pulled over twice in less then 24 hours for no reason, but by the mercy of God, had no warrants at the time.

Cops making up false accusations and hiding behind "probable cause" is nothing new but I see your point.

You honestly think that any government is going to let 1/3 of its workforce just leave? We would be living a real-life Mad Max script well before 400 million Chinese got fed up with lack of water.

Some people are already there now that "a nigger is in office", but that's only the retards in no-man's land like Texas, where if you're black, they lynch you.

Not even remotely. And it is not really happening, because every year, they infect the streets, because this is the time the facist government makes its citizens throw money in the trash, by renewing their tags.

You don't even want to know what we do to nignogs when they get out of line here in Mississippi.
