View Full Version : Paris goes to Jail
...and without the option to buy her way out. No wonder her lawyer is pissed! (http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN0339694420070507?src=050707_0750_DOUBLEFEATUR E_)
But honestly, I think everyone expected something like this. She obviously seemed to think that the rules didn't apply to her for $ome rea$on, and now she's learning the hard way that there's backlash to popularity, wealth, and publicity. When you break the law ON TV, you should expect trouble.

This article has slightly better details, and a long list of hilarious comments after the article.
This (http://emuse.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/23263/) was pretty funny.
And I apologize for the link to a link (as I consider Ebaum's to be a secondary source), but this was just too funny.
BOOOO!!! (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19095683/from/ET/)
A waste of taxpayers' money? FUCK THAT. If the taxpayers don't want to pay to put Paris in jail, I WILL. That's right. I'll take on however many jobs it takes if it means that I can fund the imprisonment of one of America's worse people.
And if I read correctly, it may be in the works (http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/ny-paris0609-timeline,0,4444053.story?coll=ny-entertainment-headlines) that she might have to return. I mean, the judge made it pretty clear that she should serve her whole sentence, regardless of "medical problems" or not. I mean, prisons have doctors, right?
[edit]: so apparently, she really did manage to bribe her way out of jail (http://www.pr-inside.com/california-sheriff-under-fire-after-ordering-r148410.htm), more or less. At least the judge was unyielding, and stuck to his guns. Not like it was an unpopular decision.

Yeah, that is some definite bullshit. Pisses me off.
Do not pass go, do not collect 200$ (http://news.scotsman.com/international.cfm?id=902892007)
You broke the law, you go to jail. You find a way out of jail early, you get sent BACK to jail. Perhaps there is something working in the legal system after all. :D
So someone asked me, "does ANYONE Like Paris Hilton?" Apparently, some people (http://www.cumberlink.com/articles/2007/06/08/ap/entertainment/d8pku8o80.txt) do.
"People are just jealous of her because her name is Hilton, and she's part of the Hilton hotels..."
Brilliant.
Okay. With this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VdNcCcweL0), I declare the subject closed, now and forever. I know that I skipped a few "news updates," but I think that this exchange pretty much encapsulates my (and most people's) feelings on the issue of PH.
NOT NEWS. NOT INTERESTING ANYMORE.
