Anyone experienced with SMF forums?

I want to do away with Categorys and just have this as the forums index page.

How do I go about doing this? I tried deleting the category but it asked me where to send it and it only gave me the option of sending it to itself. :confused:

I don't think SMF has the option of doing this... I'm sure if you migrated to another BBS you would be able to find an option. I know vbul can do this, maybe phpbb can also? Copy your database and try converting the copy to a new bbs (a lot of bbs softwares have the ability to convert dbs). Make sure it works, then swap the boards.
