first, I wasn't sure where to post this, so I went with the best I could come up with. Feel free to move this is needed mods. Now for my story...

So I was walking home from work at 8:00 PM tonight on my usual route. It's normally a 10 minute walk from the plaza to my apartments. It's a small town, trees and a river, and a poorly lit back road, you get the idea.

Anyway, I noticed a silver car parked behind the school bus garage, facing the way I was coming from. The car had one passenger, who stared straight forward, and at a glance I saw a glow from an LCD screen, possibly a laptop facing the driver. I felt this was a little bit funny, but pressed on. Anyway, at the edge of the school block is my apartments to the right, and to the left of the road is a river.

At the right turn up to my apartments, two cars seemed to be following each other, and drove in an odd pattern. They blew through the stop sign, yet slowed down to make the right turn (in the direction that I was headed) after blowing the stop sign.

Now I thought this was a bit suspicious, so I decided I would mix up my walking pattern, and see if they followed. I decided I would walk onto the grass at the corner and act like I was walking to my apartments, then get back on the sidewalk at the last minute. Sure enough, the cars slowed down as I seemed to make my turn, but then sped up as I continued on the sidewalk instead.

At this point, a silver SUV type thing pulled into a small boat launch right across from my apartments (that is currently flooded, and there's nothing in there), and parks. After I walk past my apartments, the suv backs up, and drives slowly up the road I was walking up.

Up ahead I saw headlights coming back I also noticed that the red minivan was pulled over ahead, so after the SUV passed, I made a quick dash into the small patch of woods behind my apartment, and ran through the pitch dark up to the sides of my apartment. After sitting at the edge of the woods, I decided the coast was clear and bolted for my apartment.

Once inside, I left all the lights off, and loaded my guns and waited. If I was being followed, I evaded them, or they knew where I lived anyway. Either way, logic would dictate that I am probably being a little paranoid.

The only semi-logical reason I could come up with for being followed is buying a glass pipe from Etsy. I suppose it COULD be an elaborate set up by the DEA, but in order to prove that I bought the pipe for anything but tobacco, they would need to plant drugs on me, or follow me and physically observe me purchase drugs. But that sounds way too retarded, so I'm at a loss still on an explanation.

It seems too sketchy for a few "really bad drivers", and not sketchy enough for something elaborate like federal monitoring.

Any ideas or explanations would be appreciated, but really I just wanted this on the record, so if I disappear, you'll know why.

Sometimes, my friends and I will stalk people all day for the fun of it. Usually they don't catch on though and if they do its funny for us so meh. And the DEA, really? For buying a pipe? /laughs

Yeah, the DEA for buying a pipe... I know, it's a piss poor excuse, but it was all I could come up with. Like I said, I was probably just being paranoid, I have the tendency to do that, but those cars were sketchy, and I had a bad feeling about it.

Also if it was people just fucking with me, there were at least three of them coordinating (which is how the feds tail people in the real world), so they did a good job.

Even if it was nothing more than an over active imagination, it was a good practice run, and I did everything right to make it home to my bug out bag, weapons, and ready to leave at a moments notice. So I'm happy I passed my personal test.

I almost shot my neighbor when he knocked on my door too, because he started playing with the locks and it sounded like someone was trying to break in. I was ready to chamber a round when I looked out the window and saw it was him.

A weapon without a round in the chamber is not much more than a fancy paperweight, or so I believe. And we used two or three different cars when we fucking around to, if you're going to do something may as well do it properly.

My friends and I used to do that too like for a year after we got our licenses. It's pretty fun just choosing a random person/vehicle and seeing how long you can follow them without getting caught.

Probably just some harmless kidnappers.

You are changing your behavior to look for corresponding behavior in others. You should walk through a mall because those are total bitches to stalk people in. Wear an extra shirt then take it off. Also, go in an elavator and take notice of who is around you. If they are still following you then I'd be really suspicious.

Probably just some wannabe gangsters messing around.
