this thread isn't really about anything
but my 10 month old rottie has been on painkillers for the last two weeks for his back-right leg
He holds his foot slightly above the floor and on a few occasions has made really loud whines when jumping about and it just breaks my heart
he's getting an x-ray on monday, so i dunno, just got to cross my fingers and hope for the best
he really means the world to me :(

I'm sorry, but it may be time to discuss euthanasia with the the doctor.

i'm sure it'd be a lot cheaper to put him in a bin bag and throw him off a bridge

i actually can't believe how many thousands of pounds hip surgery for a dog is

Aw, sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you both.

Apparently hip displacement is fairly common in larger dogs. My mom used to have rotties. She says that if you get carpet on the main areas where he chills it'll be a lot easier on him.
