These things are all over the place and often in locations that are ripe for the picking. They would also be more fun to steal than most things, especially if you're into night ops, because they often require climbing fun structures.
The only question is how easy it would be to get a replacement cable and connect it to them. A simple snip and you've got it, but I don't know if they sell them or what kind of cable they even use. It's very possible that one kind of cable may work for most of them, and if that's true then it could just be a simple matter of buying some and soldering them.
Very simple task. Remove the screws, leave power on until you are ready to snatch it. May have either a clip type connection. Might be a bad idea if they have serials on them and need serials to be resold?
Replacement cable can be purchased online anywhere. You will most likely need RG59/U or RG6 cable as well as the security system hardware for the CCTV.

I dont think you can solder video cables like regular electrical cables, but i may be wrong...
I tried it before on my n64, but i may have just done a shit job.

It's not necessary to do any soldering. You can just use the twist on connectors. Simple. Cut cable, peel back stranded wire, bend the aluminum conductor back, slide plastic shiv onto tip of cable, push metal connector down and twist.

Heeheehee, help me think of the best places to target (not because they're easy, but because they'd be amusing places to target).
