Also missiles were the cause of most deaths in those days and swords were rarely used in battles.

About the only practical application I can see is practice with a buddy in Kendo or something. You'd be way better off with an impact baton and riot shield. Or a gun. Fuckin ballistic advantage man.

I should have mentioned referring to the beginning of the war. Both World Wars they were far behind the technology curve compared to other nations. They sped up with the T-34 near the last year of the war though. This is all in part because of America. If we never helped Russia for over a year before we entered the war Russia would have been conquered and without our endless aid to Britain there would be no double front for the germans.
