Funniest film ever? I think so. I never thought Colin Farrell would have a knack for comedy but his timing is perfect all through the film.

The part where he calls the dwarf a cheeky fucking cunt for not waving back to him had me rolling.

ITT : You agree with me.

FACT: Staff on my shifts always found the most amount of loose change, wallets, car keys etc in the screens playing In Bruges. Perhaps they shook out from the laughing? Who knows, it is pretty funny.

"...they're filmin' midgets!"
I especially liked Ralph Fiennes, every scene he's in is hilarious.

Has to be one of the best films of the last year, would have cleaned up awards but for that Hindu nonsense.

Ken: You from the States?
Jimmy: Yeah. But don't hold it against me.
Ken: I'll try not to... Just try not to say anything too loud or crass.

What's Belgium famous for? Chocolates and child abuse, and they only invented the chocolates to get to the kids.

I need to see In Bruges. I liked Slumdog, but the ending killed it for me.

It fucking depressed the shit out of me in a good way.

If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't.

An Uzi? I'm not from South Central Los Angeles. I didn't come here to shoot twenty black ten year olds in a drive-by. I want a normal gun for a normal person.

My nomination for most quotable movie of the year.

Besides The Wrestler, this was the better movie of 2008. Hilarious script and Ralph Fiennes is a fucking lunatic. Brilliant movie.

Gran Torino comes close. Or was that this year?

Waiting for a good rip of that.

I have one, it's excellent quality. There should be plenty of torrents now, I got it ages ago.

I'm not a huge fan of Clint, and it's a very good film. More acting than action, but I think you'll enjoy it from what I know of you :D.

So true. I was never a big fan of him until I saw this film but it completely changed my opinion of him. I wasn't expecting much from the film but it was one of the best I've seen for quite a while - don't remember many quotes from it right now - the midget bits were hilarious though.

Limited release in 2008, but then so was The Wrestler. I really liked Gran Torino, but honestly I don't think it's award-worthy.

Martin Mcdonagh is IMO the best new dialogue writer of our generation. When I heard about his first film coming out, I expected no less. It's really a crime that he didn't win the oscar for screenwriting- even if you don't give any weight to awards, he deserved it and more importantly it would have given him a better chance to do more projects.

It was also his first time directing a picture, and I thought he did an exemplary job.

For people who want to see more of this guy, I'd recommend The Pillowman- it's a very dark, brilliant play he wrote about a guy in this fictional totalitarian society who writes gruesome short stories about child murders, then gets wrongfully arrested when murders take place that resemble his stories. It's worth picking up if you like reading scripts- Jeff Goldblume and Billy Crudup were the leads on Broadway, it was great.

Awesome movie. Great characters, great dialogue, great atmospere/location, awesome story, funny as shit. Brilliant, though not really the funniest movie ever.

Truly great movie.

The phrase that comes to mind is "If I wasn't laughing, I'd be crying." There's just so much humour hidden in the dramatic scenes.

I loved this movie, my favorite was the scene where he tells the fat tourists not not go up the tower because its a really long walk and then runs away when the guy tries to fight. When you hear later how someone suffered a heart attack in the same place I was laughing pretty hard.
