How do you track someone who scratches your car?
Let's say there's no cameras in the parking lot?
I am afraid to own a nice car because of this.

Take your car to the dealership and they can match up the scratch mark to a key, and key to a vin. Its not as difficult as it was 15 years ago.

Sounds to me like you need a better place to live, not a nicer car.

install a panoramic camera in the interior of your car that records 24/7 and deletes data after one full day

Search the area. No criminal can leave the scene without leaving behind some sort of trace evidence. There will be a flake of skin, or a single hair somewhere by the car. Find it. Take it to the lab, and have a DNA profile made up. Run it through CODIS. Go get a cup of coffee... the search will be done by the time you get back. Take the address and track them down. Realize that the person you find first won't be the guy who did it; but beat him down in interrogation anyway. He'll admit that it wasn't him... but he knows someone who might have been involved. Take this new information and track down the second suspect. He'll deny everything at first, of course, but as you have nothing but suspicion you can't force him to give you his keys for comparison. So you have to trick him instead. Lock him in the interrogation room for hours... he'll start to scratch at the table with his keys out of boredom. Use the computer to compare the scratch mark on the table microscopically with the scratch mark on the car... you'll find that it matches in 24 distinct areas, making it a 97% likely confirmed match. When you show him this new evidence, he'll break down and tell you everything. Congratulations... you've got him.
It's just that fucking simple to track someone down with no witnesses, no video, and no ideas other than a scratch on a door!
