I'm sure many people think about some of the "Great Questions" occasionally. Although they may seem religious, they have a philosophical and introspective quality to them that I enjoy. Has anyone ever attempted to answer these in writing?
Why are we here?
What is the meaning of life?
Is there any afterlife?
Am I happy?
Are we alone?
I remember once being told that we can think about these or not, but regardless our decisions through life answer them anyway. What do you think?

In brief--the main goal, end and purpose of life is to get back to our source and attain unitive knowledge of the Divine Ground of being.
Strictly speaking, there is no "afterlife" because life never ends.
You are as happy as you choose to be.
We are not alone.

Well...
Everyone has their place in this world, a purpose. For many people, the meaning of their lives is to find that place and act accordingly thereafter.
Afterlife or not, whichever you have to do or change has to be dealt with while you're alive. Once you take off, you will have all the time to think about the afterlife.
As another said before me, life is what you make it. You are often the one and only cause of your own misfortunes.
We are not alone.
