Got this car from a friend and it will be my daily. Few electrical issues with the car..

1. power windows do not work at all. I am pretty sure they get power because when I turn the car on I can hear the motor in the door sometimes. No sound when trying to roll windows down. Although when I do click the button I see the trac light in the dash flicker.

2. radio does not work when headlights are on.

3. Heater does not turn on all all, I do see a light inside by the dials.

So i'm wondering what should I look for? all fuses seem fine. Previous owner says window/heat/radio started acting up after he changed the battery. He also installed universal clamps for side/top post battery.

Any help would be great.

Test the battery, both at the posts and the clamps. Take the clamps off and clean the terminals.

If a bunch of electrical issues suddenly started when he changed the battery, odds are he did it wrong.

Not to sound ignorant, but how do you do it wrong?

You can fail to clean the posts well enough, do a bad job wiring in the new clamps, and I've even seen people break battery posts inside the battery so you don't get enough current flow.

It's amazing what idiots can accomplish.
