Technical Death Metallers from Italy have unleashed Agony into North America and Europe. Needless to say, the album is a beast! Adding orchestral arrangements to a death metal release is a risk, since legions of e-idiots often go into an uproar when a band takes an experimental turn. But on Agony, they really blend naturally into the onslaught. The sound is not unlike early Dimmu Borgir mixed with Nile. When one considers how Morbid Angel attempted to drastically change their style and failed horribly (Kill, kill a cop? :facepalm: ), Agony was direly needed.
