Police said they have arrested Gregory Krzanowski, 38, of 23 Katelyn Way, Southampton, after finding 97 marijuana plants during a search of a Florence Road apartment here.
Krzanowski was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a firearm without a federal identification card, police said.
Krzanowski was arrested after $150,000 worth of marijuana was seized in Easthampton and Southampton.
During the past several months, members of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigations, Easthampton police, the Massachusetts state police Hampshire County Narcotics Unit and the Southampton Police Department have investigated the marijuana cultivation organization run by Krzanowski, police said.
On Tuesday a federal search warrant was executed at 20 Florence Road, third floor, in Easthampton, and at 23 Katelyn Way in Southampton.
In Easthampton, an elaborate marijuana growing operation consisting of approximately 97 marijuana plants, 4 pounds of marijuana packaged for distribution and a firearm were seized.
In Southampton, 5 pounds of marijuana packaged for distribution were seized.
Police said the street value of the marijuana seized in Easthampton and Southampton was approximately $150,000. The investigation is ongoing.
